I would like to tell you a story about my husband, Jason and I. We are one of the many couples that met through a dating service. When we first met, Jason used to brag about all of these women that he met on line. He used to call them 'dating women'. He kept a notebook in a drawer on his coffee table in the living room. It was named 'dating women" and was written in bold red letters.
Jason used to write in this notebook about little things about each girlfriend he had. He used to write in detail if they smelled Sweet, what kind of perfume they wore, what the name of his girlfriend was.
I remember one time reading it, and he was talking about tickle. I asked Jason about this, cause I thought the name Tickle was kind of funny. That was all that was on that page, was tickle in great big letters. Finally he told me that tickle meant when he met a girl on line and was asking her questions, he soon found out the she was a he. So each time he met a one like that he spelled out the tickle.
Well I finally got tired of reading his notebook and made him throw it away. He wasn't really upset, but did say he wanted to keep it as a keep sake. I finally screamed at him and told are you kidding, no way Jason are you keeping it. I am your Girlfriend now, and i intend to stay that way for at least a year.
Well things went along fine for about 8 months, and then he popped the question to me. Yes that word 'marriage'. I was speechless for almost 10 minutes and I started to cry. After I calmed down, I finally told Jason yes.
Four months later the big day came and I was walking down the aisle of the church with my Dad holding one arm and my Mother holding the other arm. I was the happiest bride on earth that day. My mom kept whispering in my ear how sweet I smelled. Just before my dad and mom let go of my arms, and passed them on to Jason, my Father said, "Sweet dreams, my little girl, and may they all come true.
Jason and I have been married now for 34 years and my Father passed away on my 34th wedding anniversary. He took to his grave this saying, "Sweet dreams, my father, may you rest in peace. You have not lost your little girl, because I will be joining you someday. I love you Dad.
