I have been dating women all my life and still haven't managed to find 'the one.' Ive had a brief encounter with love once but as I say it was brief and I don't really want to go into it, it's kind of depressing. I've had a few beautiful girlfriends but what they make up for in looks they lack in the personality department. I then proceeded to date less attractive girls but found this didn't mean that their personality was going to shimmer. I had a brief encounter with an ex of mine the other day and thought to myself maybe I should have just settled down with her she was pretty average but beggars can't be choosers hey?

I decided the proposal of that idea to her wouldn't come out right and she would realise exactly why we broke up in the first place. I'm not one for commitment to be honest and I don't think I ever will be. I think I'll head out into town and find something to do. I've gone into this bookshop that I love and reminds me of my childhood and I went over to the shelf where my favourite author lives in between the others and I reach for a book the same time as this other woman does. There is a brief encounter where our hands touch and I glance up to look at her. She's beautiful. I can also spark up a conversation with her because she obviously likes the same author as me. We hit it off immediately, so i make the proposal that we go out to dinner tomorrow night, she accepts which is great.

The next evening I'm getting ready to go out and I hear the doorbell. I thought she was early but she was perfectly on time I was just too busy getting nervous. She looked as beautiful as when I saw her in the bookshop yesterday, maybe even more so now if that's possible. I made the proposal that we in fact just stay in tonight and I shall cook her dinner. She seems pleased by this idea and we both begin to relax. I don't know where this relationship will lead but god am I happy I took that lonely journey to the bookshop.
